How to Use the IDEXX VetAutoread™ Hematology Analyzer

Run a sample immediately—while it's still fresh and before your patient's condition worsens.

1. Prepare the sample. (235 KB)
2. Spin the sample in the IDEXX VetCentrifuge™ for five minutes.*
3. Select the applicable species on the analyzer, insert the tube into the analyzer's loading carriage and close the door.

That's it! In one minute the analyzer provides a species-specific result.

Fibrinogen
The IDEXX Fibrinogen Precipitator is specifically designed for use with the IDEXX VetAutoread™ Hematology Analyzer. Its electronically controlled temperature range provides maximum consistency of plasma fibrinogen in the IDEXX VetTubes™.

To precipitate plasma fribrinogen:

1. Place a previously spun IDEXX VetTube™ in one of the four holes located in the face of the IDEXX Fibrinogen Precipitator.
2. Approximately five minutes after placing the tube in the precipitator, remove the tube and spin it in the IDEXX VetCentrifuge™.
3. Select the applicable species on the analyzer, insert the tube into the loading carriage and close the door.
