IDEXX Laboratories Congratulates AAHA “Practice of the Year” Award Winners

WESTBROOK, Maine, April 01, 2014—IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ: IDXX) congratulates Prescott Animal Hospital of Prescott, Ariz., and MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets of Worthington, Ohio, for earning the “Accredited Practice of the Year” award from the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). AAHA announced the award winners during its yearly conference, March 20–23 in Nashville, Tenn. The award recognizes the outstanding achievements of AAHA-accredited animal hospitals. And this year, both recipients are IDEXX customers.

In its fifth annual Accredited Practice of the Year competition, AAHA evaluated candidates based on six criteria: their most recent accreditation score, mission and vision, practice design, practice team composition, continuing education and training and community service. Prescott Animal Hospital won first place for the general practice category, and MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets took first place in the referral practice category.

AAHA also named second, third and finalist award winners in each category:

• Second place, general practice: New Frontier Animal Medical Center of Sierra Vista, Ariz.
• Third place, general practice: Kew Beach Veterinary Hospital of Toronto, Ontario
• Finalist, general practice: Jefferson Animal Hospital & Emergency Center of Louisville, Ky.
• Finalist, referral practice: Saint Francis Veterinary Center of Woolwich Township, N.J.
